Thomas M. Sheridan

Thomas M. Sheridan, age 91, passed away on November 20, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Marilynn, nee Mommsen for many years; loving father of Colleen, Thomas J., Dawn, Patty (Keith) Gillespie and Danny (Rebecca); proud grandfather of Matthew and Kevin Kahler, Christin Jeffers, Justin Sebring, Erin and Catherine Gillespie, Timothy, Caleb, Anna and Ava Sheridan and great-grandfather of Jack, Charlie, Jude, Jolene, Landon, Maisie, Dylan and Nolan; dear brother of William Sheridan. Also survived by many cherished friends and family. Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Esther Heuser.

Mr. Sheridan loved the moments that connected him to nature, especially fishing and tending to his garden. He was a passionate sports fan and proudly cheered on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Chicago Cubs. For more than fifty years, Mr. Sheridan built a remarkable career in the insurance industry that ultimately led him to own and operate his own insurance firm.

Above all, Mr. Sheridan cared deeply for his family and especially loved being called “Uncle Tommy.”

Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2025, 3pm to 8pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.

Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 10am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11am at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 434 W. Park Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
