

Timothy J. ConwayOf Arlington HeightsTimothy J. Conway was born on November 4, 1956 in Chicago to Jerome and Loretta (nee Smith) Conway. He died Friday, June 26, 2015 at his home.Mr. Conway was a beloved theatre arts teacher at Highland Park High School for 36 years. Hundreds of current and former students say he was a significant mentor who positively transformed their lives. His work was honored over the years by the Illinois Theatre Association, Illinois High School Theatre Festival, and multiple Superintendent Recognition Awards for teaching excellence. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Tim loved to spend time with his family, and was loved by all.Timothy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy (nee Parpart); children, Megan Conway, and Ryan Conway; father, Jerome Conway; siblings Daniel (Pamela) Conway, David (Laura) Conway, Thomas (Kerri) Conway, and Judith (Mark) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by mother, Loretta Conway and uncle, Bishop Edwin M. Conway.Visitation Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Memorial Tributes 10:00 am Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the funeral home proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 for a 12:00 pm Funeral Mass. Interment is private.In lieu of flowers, Tim"s family has suggested making a donation to the Conway Memorial Fund, which will assist in furnishing Highland Park High School"s new, state-of-the-art black box theatre.The Story: Highland Park High School is currently in the midst of a major renovation project; a new, 170-seat black box theatre is part of the visionary plan. In 2014, Tim met with professional theatre architects to ensure the creation of what he called "The best theatre in the Midwest." Blueprints are drawn and Tim"s inspired dream has been captured in the plans.
