Kelly, Debbie & familyI, I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to tell your Mother goodby. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

When Alice was 15, after our sophomore year, she invited me to go job searching with her to Ravenswood Hospital for the summer; we both applied and got the jobs; we worked with many older ladies and brought the hospital trays to the patients; we were called tray girls!!! If my memory serves me right, we must have served breakfast and lunch, delivering and picking up the trays; it was a great job; it was fun and gave us some spending money; the older ladies loved us and we learned a lot from their sharing!!!I also was in the band with Alice; I played the flute; my sister, Rosie Kauss Waske was also in the band; she was 2 years behind Alice and me (After high school, Rosie and Alice became friends...)We lived off of Montrose Avenue and so rode the same buses to school each day for the 4 years of high school; there was Alice, Sharon Longstreet, Theresa DeSalvo and myself who rode the same buses each day; when it snowed we would spend a lot of time waiting for the bus at Montrose and Damen (?) where we changed buses, so we all got to know each other very well.Your Mom was a great lady; loved her family; was fun-loving but worked hard at work and school...During high school we would have band parties with the people in the band who were a year younger than us and those older; I asked my sister why she was never at the band parties and she reminded me that she was 2 years younger and wasn't invited :(:(:(I also knew your Dad in high school; he was a great guy also...You know, but you have been very blessed to have great, not perfect, but great parents; they will be very missed.Jeanne Kauss

Michelle, Debbie, Kim, Kelly-Don't know if you remember me.  I was the night manager at Fair lanes where your mom worked. We worked together  on nights for many years. We had a lot of fun and she was a great lady to work with. Do you remember the time I went to the Milwaukee Zoo with you all when you were smaller. Your dad was out of town for work, and your mom asked me to go with all of you. We ate at Mama Mia's pizza-  That was a long time ago.  So sorry to hear about your Mom.
