Virginia "Ginny" Kuefner

Virginia "Ginny" Kuefner, age 70, of Arlington Heights, IL passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

Ginny was born on March 25, 1952 in Erie, PA, to Donald and Helen Erdman. She was the oldest of nine siblings.

She worked as a registered nurse for Evanston Hospital in Evanston and St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago for approximately 12 years. Ginny was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside parish and volunteered making baptismal bibs for the church. She loved sewing, quilting, and gardening, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson. She also enjoyed spending time with family at their cabin in Wisconsin. She was loved by all.

Ginny is survived by her husband, George Kuefner; children, Julie Kuefner and Jillian Kuefner; grandson, Pierce Sutphin; siblings, Patrick (Lani) Erdman, Steve Erdman, Mary Mullenhoff, Joni (Dave) Medvec, Sue Erdman (Dan Kunkel), and Carol (Steele) Young, many nieces and nephews, and best friend Nan Morris.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bobby Erdman and Thomas Erdman (Mary Burke).

Visitation will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A Graveside Committal Service will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:30 am at Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery in Arlington Heights. The Gravesite Committal Service will be limited to family only.
