Virginia "Ginny" W. Lamich

Virginia "Ginny" W. Lamich of Arlington Heights, Illinois was born in Evanston, Illinois to Joseph and Adelaide (nee Boesen) Wiltgen, on November 2, 1928. She was a graduate of St. Paul of the Cross School (Park Ridge), St. Patrick’s Academy (Des Plaines), and Clark College (Dubuque, Iowa). Ginny has been an active member of Our Lady of the Wayside Parish since 1963, where she volunteered on many committees, including over thirty years as one of the Monday Morning Money Counters.

Over the years Ginny took great pleasure in spending time with dear friends enjoying such things as bowling, tennis, bridge, weekly breakfasts or simple conversation. Traveling was always part of her life, with Green Lake, Wisconsin being a favorite spot to relax.

Ginny was always family focused, dedicated to the well-being of her loving husband and children, and lighting up whenever she was able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ginny is survived by her children Mary (Chuck) Romack, Katy Fisher, Pat (Bill) Fullriede, John Lamich and Joe (Kathy) Lamich.

Cherished grandmother to Steve, Anna, Kelly, Jack, Michael, Danny, Katie and step-grandchildren Kelly and Lindsay.

Beloved great-grandmother of Ben, Harlow and Wesley and step great-grandchildren Ryan, Brayden, Owen and Finn.

Ginny is preceded in death by her husband Edward and daughter Ann.

Visitation will be held on July 28, 2026 from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 434 W. Park Street, Arlington Heights, IL. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
