Vivienne K. Prakope

Vivienne K. Prakope was born on October 12, 1925 in Edinburg, Pennsylvania to Orrie and Irvie (nee Ryberg) Kifer.

She died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Vivienne worked as a Sales Associate for Carson Pirie Scott & Company for many years.

She was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Prospect Heights, IL.

Her interests and hobbies included reading and needlepoint. She was also an active social participant at Luther Village in Arlington Hts. In fact, she was given the “Busy Bee” award several times over the years for her enthusiastic participation in many events.

Vivienne is survived by her children Patricia (Michael Konopka) Ramsey, Harry Martin (Ann) Prakope, Jr. and Jill Blair; she is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her spouse of almost 60 years, Harry Martin Prakope, her parents as well as her sisters Shirley Kifer, Betty Lee, and Virginia Watson.

Memorial Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 1111 N. Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60007 (capacity limits, PPE requirements and social distancing in effect). Due to COVID-19, Vivienne's Memorial Service and interment will be held privately.
