William J. Cole

William J. Cole of Arlington Heights for 43 years Visitation for William J. Cole, 88, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at the funeral home, proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 450 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Born April 17, 1923, in Baldwinsville, N.Y., he died Friday, July 1, 2011, in Arlington Heights. Mr. Cole was a World War II Navy veteran, owner of Castle Cable Co. for 20 years in New York, very active at Our Lady of the Wayside Church and an avid Cubs fan. He was the husband of Mary E. (nee Knight); father of David K. (Eileen) Cole, Rita A. (David) Heinz, Catherine E. (Chris) Darrow, Mary Jeanne (Patrick) Fitzgerald and Barbara L. (John) Hartnett; grandfather of 15; brother of Marie (the late Fred) Collins, Donald (Catherine) Cole and the late Ethel (the late Gene) Johnson; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 450 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, appreciated.
