William R. Howard was born on October 2, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois to William J. and Josephine nee (Gullo) Howard. He died Monday, December 28, 2015, at home in Mount Prospect, surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Howard worked as an electrician for the better part of 50 years, but his knowledge of the trades, problem-solving, and general miracle-working was legendary. There was nothing he could not fix or improve, and the trouble calls to Bill spanned his entire life. He helped anyone in need, and shared his wisdom with his children and grandchildren, in hopes of instilling some self-sufficiency and independence. He reminded them often to learn and be educated, and that what they learned could never be taken from them. He was a proud member of Local #134; Cook County Electrical Inspector; and owner of W.R. Howard Realty. In retirement he served as a starter and trouble shooter for the Old Orchard Country Club, Italian American Veterans Post #4 - Past Commander and also served the St. Joseph Society di Bagheria as Past President.William is survived by his wife of 60 years Eleanor nee (LoPipero) his daughters Josie (David Ruben) Howard-Ruben, and Catherine (Michael) Lauria; sons, William N.
