William J. Kohut was born on April 9, 1961 in Chicago to William and Lillian (nee Mendygral) Kohut. Bill passed peacefully at home from his wife’s loving arms to God’s loving hands on April 3, 2018 after a brave sixteen-month battle with brain cancer.
Mr. Kohut was the Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Disk Company in McHenry. Bill was part of the CDC family for 25 years.
Bill earned a four-year scholarship to Marmion Military Academy (which he jokingly called, “Catholic Military Prison”). He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and a CPA.
Bill valued spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife, Ann, and his daughter, Jordan. Bill was a fine dining aficionado, with a hearty love of food and good wine. He loved golfing with his buddies, and was known as Parski.
Bill’s love of music remained with him throughout his life. He was a member of many bands, the most recent being Face n Time where Bill (aka Willie and Reverend Willie-stage name) was lead guitarist.
Billy is survived by his wife of ten years, Ann M. Kohut (nee Nosek); daughter Jordan L. Kohut; mother Lillian S. (late William S.) Kohut; siblings Steven Kohut, Marian (David Jackson) Kohut-Jackson, Paul Kohut and Lawrence Kohut; mother-in-law Marie C. (late Robert A.) Nosek; brothers and sister-in-law Michael (Mary) Nosek, Mary (Tod) Bourgart, Robert F. (Kim) Nosek and John (Teri) Nosek; also survived by 12 nephews, 6 nieces, 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew.
Visitation Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Monday, April 9, 2018 where he will lie in state from 9:30 am until time of Celebration of Life Mass at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness. Graveside interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
