William J. ReinertOf Arlington HeightsWilliam J. Reinert was born on June 1, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Anna (nee Sorensen) Reinert. He died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Lutheran Home Services, Arlington Heights surrounded by his loving and devoted family.Mr. Reinert was employed with Peoples Gas for 37 years before retiring as a superintendent. He was formerly with Northshore and WE Energies. William graduated from U of I school of mechanical engineering in 1957 where he was a member and past National President of Sigma Phi Delta fraternity.Bill was a 4th Degree member and Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council #4483 and the Elizabeth Ann Seton Assembly. While working in Chicago he was a very active member of Jaycees and was also involved in his children"s activities including Boy Scouts Pack 154, Boy Scout Troop 117, and Mt. Prospect Midget Football League.A man of strong faith, Bill was ordained a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, Chicago Archdiocese in 1994 and served as Deacon at St. Raymond Church in Mt. Prospect and St. James Church in Arlington Heights.Bill survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan nee Kaderabek; his children William Thomas (Linda) Reinert, Patricia Ann (Vince) Julian and Robert Joseph (Christine) Reinert; his grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph, Elizabeth and Alyssa; his brother, John (Frances) Reinert; brother-in-law Donald Kaderabek; and his six nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, September 2, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 am Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Mass at 10:00 am.
