William Rozalewicz

Of Lincolnshire 

William Rozalewicz was born on February 12, 1925 in Poland to John and Bernice (nee Soczneski) Rozalewicz. He died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at JourneyCare in Glenview, Illinois. 

William worked as a Burner for Inland Ryerson Steel in Melrose Park where he worked hard using torches to cut steel.  He also climbed ladders to secure large finished pieces in railroad cars.   He was a member of Workmen’s Benefit Fund where friends of the family managed a pool in Wisconsin. His interests and hobbies included gardening.  He took great pride in his tomatoes.   

William is survived by his children Ed (Susan) Rozalewicz and Christine (Alan) Sahagian; his grandchildren Jeffrey Rozalewicz and Kristen Rozalewicz; he was also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his spouse Else Rozalewicz (nee Rick), his parents and his siblings Antoinette, Amelia, Josephine (late Casey) Trocha, Frank, Stanley, Edwina and Adela. 

Visitation Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Monday, December 31, 2018 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Mary Parish 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Interment will be at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
