William "Bill" Wittig, Jr.

Of Arlington Heights

William "Bill" Wittig was born on January 6, 1933, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to William and Lillian (nee Terrill) Wittig. He died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Wittig retired from A.C. Nielsen Co. in 1987 as vice president sales manager after 29 years of service.

He served on the Sienna Pointe Condo Board for many years and was a committee member of the F.A.N. club for 25 years.

He enjoyed boating on the Chain of Lakes, The Green Bay Packers and traveling, especially on their trips to St. Germain, WI.

He was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan who was a season ticket holder for 62 years.

Bill is survived by his spouse Joanne Wittig (nee Samuelson); his sister Susan (Late William) McCabe; as well as his niece Christine McCabe and his nephew Terrence McCabe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Visitation Monday, June 24, 2019, from 9:00 am until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be private.
