Zita Carina Atienza Chambers was born on April 27, 1967, in Victoria, Tarlac Philippines to Drs. Calixto and Aurora (nee Allarde) Atienza. She died Friday, November 26, 2021, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Carina worked in information technology for Encompass Health. She had a strong faith in the Lord all her life and was a devout parishioner of St. James Catholic Church for many years. She expressed her love for both God and music by singing with and cantoring for the 11:30 AM church choir. She would also volunteer her help wherever and whenever she could. Carina was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She was the main supporter and most avid advocate for her daughters and their many interests. With her selfless nature and thoughtful actions, she always made others feel warmly welcomed and earnestly cherished.

Zita Carina is survived by her daughters, Zaina Clarisse A. Chambers and Zanais Christiana A. Chambers; her parents Dr. Calixto A. Atienza, and Dr. Aurora A. Atienza; and her brother, Calixto Allarde (Mary) Atienza, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Cecilia Atienza Goolsby.

Visitation: from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers: 11:00 am, Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm.
