Al was a proud Army Veteran who served in the Korean war as a Radio Operator. He was married to Evelyn for 58 years. He was a devote catholic and a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Arlington, TX. The simplest pleasures in life were when he was with his family and surrounded by his friends. He was an avid reader, loved to dance and listen to music.
He spent his career in retail management where he was best known for his infectious smile and personality. He was a proud father to his only son, Stephen, father-in-law to Andrea, Vavo to Eric, Tonia, Jennifer and Stephen II, and great Vavo to Caroline, Katelyn, Eric II, Hudson and Nolan. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Leonard, Gordan, Ed, Diane, Nancy and Judith.
Al was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, and parents Manuel and Mary Silva along with his two brothers William, Joseph, nephew Robert, and his close friend Naomi.
The family is thankful for the staff with Harbor Hospice who cared for Al during his last days and the staff at Town Village where he resided.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions in Al’s memory be made to the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Arlington, TX.
