Amy Elizabeth Rasberry, age 51, of Arlington, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Amy was a cherished daughter, devoted sister, adored aunt, and loving friend.
Amy spent her life in the state of Texas- Beaumont, Houston, and Arlington. An alumna of Texas A&M University, Amy's academic achievements mirrored her vibrant spirit. She was so incredibly intelligent and had a passion for diving deep into topics that were of interest to her. As an art enthusiast, she appreciated art in all of its forms and also created art of her own.
Throughout her life, Amy faced the challenges of Crohn's disease with unwavering strength, becoming an inspiration to those who knew her. Time and again, she met her physical health challenges with determination and grit. Today, she is free from pain and is reunited with her mother, Sandra Jane Collier Rasberry, and nephew, Hunter Ross Hayes.
Amy leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories. She will be dearly missed by her father, Thomas Rasberry; sister, Melissa Parsinen and husband Scott; niece, Courtney Hayes; nephew, Garrett Hayes; and a multitude of family and friends. May her warmth and kindness continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
Amy was a kind, compassionate soul who held a special place in her heart for her beloved pets—Sam, Abby, Kabuki, and Tuck. All of Amy’s pets were rescued from local animal shelters. She provided them with a loving home, and they provided her with great companionship and comfort.
Memorial donations may be made in Amy’s honor to Purrfect Cats Cat Rescue Organization, a 501c3 non-profit organization devoted to rescuing cats and kittens in need of permanent homes. www.purrfectcats.org
Amy will be laid to rest alongside her mother and father on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Park Cemetery, located at 2823 East Marshall Avenue in Longview, Texas.
