Anna Jo Gunter

Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her children, Lynn Gunter of Early, Texas, Lexy Gunter and wife Jean of Troy, Texas, and Lisa Morris and husband Wayne of Arlington, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and church family.

She was born in Blanket, Texas, on April 16, 1930, to Milton J. and Lila Green. She graduated from Early High School in 1947 and married Claburn in August of that year. They briefly lived in California, then moved back to Texas in 1957 and settled in Arlington, where they raised their three children.

She retired from Johnson & Johnson in 1994 and served as secretary of her church for many years. She was a faithful member of Oasis Church in Arlington, where she loved to worship and fellowship with her church family.

When she wasn't busy cheering for the Texas Rangers, Anna Jo enjoyed weekly Bible study, playing (winning) games of dominoes, completing word searches, and spending time with her family.

She lived a full, happy life and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her. She will be remembered for her heart of gold and resilient, sweet spirit.

A visitation for Anna Jo will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Zephyr Cemetery in Zephyr, Texas.
