I’ve thought long and hard about the appropriate words to express my feelings for Anna and I’m struggling to find them.

Anna was a kind , generous and compassionate person, who would go above and beyond to put others first.

She was a loving wife and mother who would do anything for her family.

Anna was a dear friend who considered me a son. She welcomed me as part of her family during many special occasions when I was far from home and kept me well fed during my lunch break from work, preparing beautiful Puerto Rican rice and beans.

You left us too soon Anna and you’ll be missed by all those you touched.

I love you Mom and I wish you peace and happiness.

Love,

Mark

Sending our love and prayers to the family at this time of Anna passing. We where stationed with them many years ago at Fort McClellan, Alabama where our husbands worked together at DOTD. Anna cared so much for her family and friends. Beautiful Person, Rest In Peace in Heaven.

Anna was a kind, gracious and vibrant lady who always lifted one's spirits. She and Mal were such a perfect couple, as each was thoughtful, kind, generous and selfless. Anna now occupies a special place in heaven where she'll eventually greet Mal with open arms and they'll continue their loving embrace for eternity. Anna, we'll all miss you. Chuck and Ida Hurlbut

Condolences from our family to yours during this time of great sadness. Anna has undoubtedly touched many lives over her time here on earth and as an army family we have felt her presence. May God watch over CSM Malavet (Mal) and the entire Malavet family until they are one day reunited. May God bless you all.

Margaret and I cherish the time we have known Mal and Anna. Anna was always upbeat and positive about life and events beyond her control. She was a "go to" source for comfort and reassurance. Please know that our family is here for you Mal.

One of the happiest days I've had was the one when my Bill told me he wanted me to meet his good friends Mal & Anna. We met them for lunch & became fast friends. Both Mal & Anna had many memories of their lives together-especially across the waters they shared with us that day. Anna & I got to go girl shopping a couple of times with her grabbing my hand in the mall so we could closer connect. Whenever I expressed my fear of Bill doing poorly health wise she had the most comforting words for me. Anna was a true testament to being a wonderful family matriarch. She always referred to Mal as "her husband" even with him sitting beside her. She cherised Tonya & Brian as only a God fearing lady could. Bill & I will miss her imensley-so happy to have known her. Our prayers are with Mal & the family.
