

Military Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 7,2024 at 10:00am at the
Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. A Repast will immediately follow the graveside service at Mira Lagos Clubhouse, 3025 S. Camino Lagos, Grand Prairie, TX 75034.
Arnel Cordova Vick was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 15,1966 to parents Nell Rose Cordova and Albert Henry Cordova. She separated from this life on Wednesday, October 23,2024 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
In early childhood, Arnel attended Martinez Kindergarten School and St Leo the Great Elementary. She later graduated from Mt. Carmel Academy High School. For higher education, Arnel attended Xavier University of Louisiana and other institutions before deciding to enlist in the United States Navy in 1990. While in the Navy, she attended the Naval Hospital Corpsman Class "A" School in Great Lakes, Illinois as well as the Histopathology Technician School at the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. During her Naval career, Arnel practiced as an LVN as well as a histology technician until her honorable discharge in 1996. Post military discharge, she worked as a histology technician in a private medical practice and as a caregiver for Fidelis Home Care in Midlothian, Texas until her retirement due to medical disability.
In her free time, Arnel loved spending time with the family and friends, cooking, baking, and of course spoiling her beloved grandchildren.
Arnel is survived by her two children, Morgan Davis (Kevin), and Mahalia Vick (Justin); sister, Arnette Cordova; grandchildren, Kinsley Davis, Mallory McAllister, Maddox McAllister; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and long-time friends.
Arnel was preceded in death by her father, Albert Cordova, and mother Nell Rose Cordova.
