

Arthur “Papa” Loyola, age 77 of Arlington, passed away on May 29, 2017. He was born on May 28, 1940 in Dividend, Utah, the son of Pedro and Jesus Garcia Loyola. Art married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Shoenfeld, and they celebrated 58 years of married together.
Art leaves behind his wife, Carolyn; son Collin Loyola and wife Julie; granddaughter Laura Champine and husband Morgan; Danielle Robinson and husband Jeff and great grandson J.C; brothers Pete, Mike, Dave, Vern; sisters Lupe and Elizabeth. Art was preceded in death by his parents, his son Bart, brother Manuel, and sister Cora.
Art worked many years in the drilling business, but most recently retired as a Diamond tool sales representative. He had an outgoing personality, a voice of Frank Sinatra, a wonderful sense of humor, and never met a stranger. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and was passionate about working in his yard and spending time with his grandkids. He enjoyed the time he got to spend with his family, especially their many trips to Strawberry Lake, catching Rainbow trout. Art’s smile and passion for family and life will be greatly missed by many.
A memorial service to celebrate Art’s life will be at 2PM on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home, Bowen Road Chapel, Arlington, Texas
