In her life, Barbara touched the lives of many people. She gave her love freely and will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Barbara was born in Stirling, Colorado, in 1953 to Margaret Frances King and Everett Estel Jones. She attended Reagan High School in Austin, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Christopher Clarence Robinson. They were married on May 16, 1972. Their love and laughter were both infectious and inspirational.
After having two children, Barbara decided to embark on a new career. She earned her RN degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and quickly became a respected and admired nurse in the field of OB-GYN medicine, helping mothers and their babies through one of the most important times in their lives. The opportunity to care for others never ceased to bring her pride and joy.
Barbara will be remembered by her friends, family, and the many people she served as a nurse. As one of her newest friends described her, Barbara never met a stranger.
She had a soft spot for furry friends, treating each and every one like the valued family member they were—most recently Ghost, her beloved Great Pyrenees. She is also survived by her grand-cats, Inarra and Baldur, as well as a jungle of cherished plants.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Chris. She is survived by her sons, Scott Robinson and his spouse, Jennifer Ross, and Matthew Robinson and his partner, Anne Dyer. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Bob Jones, along with her beloved nephews, nieces, and grand-nieces.
A service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 26, 2026, at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas 76016.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors Without Borders would be greatly appreciated.
Barbara's kindness, compassion, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
