Bernard J. Smithee's six-year battle with cancer ended peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010. A loving husband, model father and friend to all, he will be missed, but never forgotten. His generosity lives on through all of the lives he touched throughout his journey.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Chapel, Arlington. Inurnment: 9 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.
Survivors: Loving wife, Rose; son, Benjamin; mother, Elena; brother, Ray; sister, Vivian; and thousands of loved ones.
