Billy Charles Ratterree

Bill was a graduate of Wylie High School and a retiree of both the J.C. Penney Company, where he ran the Arlington Distribution Center and the B.S. Trading Company in Arlington, Texas.

Bill was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington and also volunteered at the Arlington Life Shelter.

After retiring, Bill and his wife Betty had more time to travel. They loved cruising many parts of the world including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Europe. Later they drove all of the United States by motor coach. As proud member of the Alfa Lonestars travel club, Bill previously served as club president.

He had a passion for the outdoors and the wonders of the world, but his greatest love was his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Ratterree and mother, Ruth Ratterree; as well as his brother, Jimmie Ratterree and his sister, Mary Norsworthy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ratterree, three sons, Rickey Ratterree and wife Debra, Mark Ratterree and wife Tami, son, Troy Ratterree and wife Rosa.

Seven grandchildren: Clayton, Billy II, Troy II, Colin, Paul, Kenzie, Mark JR. (Hunter).

Six great-grandchildren: Brylee, Brancen, Brayden, Alexis, Parker, and Paxtin, with two on the way.

Bill is also survived by his sister, JoAnn Ratcliff; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends, all who will miss him deeply.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2019 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10:00 am at Tate Springs Baptist Church, 4201 Little Road, Arlington, TX 76016

Graveside with Air Force Honors will be held at 2:00 pm at Mills Cemetery in Garland, TX.
