

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 3, in Moore Bowen Road Chapel.

Chappell was born in Tucson, Ariz., on Aug. 10, 1979. Soon she came to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and attended Grace Lutheran School in Arlington and later graduated from Arlington Martin High School in 1997. After high school she proudly graduated summa cum laude from University of Texas at Arlington with a BA in political science. She was currently employed at TCC as a lab assistant at the Southeast Campus.
While growing up, Chappell was an acolyte for 10 years at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. She loved to travel, making four trips to Europe. She visited museums from Fort Worth to St. Petersburg, Russia. Most importantly, she loved animals and was most kind to any animal she encountered. She was a very special girl who grew into a very special young woman who will be missed by many.
Survivors: Her mother, Katherine Newell of Canton, Miss.; father, Chuck Hope of Arlington; sister, Sarah Hope and her boyfriend, Alex Botello, of Arlington; Chappell's boyfriend, Chad Ethridge of Dallas; her grandparents, Alvin C. and Elizabeth A. Hope of Abilene; great-aunt, Carol Satterfield of Jackson, Miss.; uncle, Dudley Crawford of North Carolina; aunt and uncle, Amy and Steve Hope of Denton; many cousins; and numerous friends. Also grieving her loss are her many animal buddies.
