Charlene was born Oct. 13, 1951, in Arlington to Robert Eugene Coats and Mary Alice Bodine Coats, exactly two minutes after the birth of her identical twin sister, Francine Coats Squyers. She was a lifelong resident of Dalworthington Gardens and graduated from Arlington High School in 1970. Charlene was a dear mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mentor and friend throughout her life. In her professional career, she touched many lives during her tenure with Halliburton Corp., KPMG/Bearing Point and Michael's Corp. Charlene truly loved her family and friends, all genres of music and volunteered at Mission Arlington. Both personally and professionally, Charlene inspired many people and will be terribly missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Robert Eugene Coats Sr., and brother, Dr. Robert Eugene Coats Jr.
Survivors: Son, Cody Alan Anders; grandson, Tate Alan Anders; mother, Mary Alice Coats; sisters, Pam Coats, Francine Coats Squyers and husband, Richard; fiance, Ron Broadhead; nieces, Amy Coats Pryor and husband, Andrew, and Candiss Coats Smith and husband, Levi; nephews, Russell and Charles Squyers; and many cousins from a large, loving Christian family.
