I just found out about Charlie's passing. A good friend and fishing buddy. We were classmates at PJC where we enjoyed a lot of extra curricular activities. He will be missed. May he RIP.

Charlie was a personable, friendly, and funny man!  I enjoyed our talks about education and life.  I pray that your heart will be soothed by the love shared by others during this time and that you continue to feel God’s  love envelope you.



Charlie and I go back to my first coaching days at Jefferson Jr. High in Grand Prairie and later at Diamond Hill High School in Ft. Worth.  For a pup like me, Charlie was a great mentor and friend.  Over the years, I drifted into another career and our paths diverged into the woods of life.  But, the memories I have of him and the wonderful times we had are golden treasures for me.  When I remember this man, I always smile and laugh.  He was the most gregarious, friendly, positive person that I have ever known.  The stories he could tell would have you on the floor in a ball with laughter.  My thoughts and prayers are with Jackie and the rest of his sweet family.  He will be missed and my heart is heavy this morning with the news of his passing.  But, if you listen closely, you can hear him chuckle and laugh.  Good bye dear friend until we meet again and throw the football around.

I am so sorry to hear about Charlie. I never interacted with Charlie that I didn’t feel better or happier because I got to experience him.  I never left a time with Charlie  without a smile. He was one of the the worst deer hunters and best people I have had the privilege to know. I will always remember how much he made of  me naming him the Mayor of temporary city at Martin. My prayers are with you and your family.

Coach Tuggle was easily my favorite teacher at Martin.  His class was always the best one of the day.  I have a cut-off fishing pole I keep in his honor because of the one he used in class. 

He used to come through the line at the grocery store where I worked and would tell the other people in line with him that he "learned that boy everything he knows."  

I will forever tell stories about him so his memory lives on.

I loved teaching with Charlie at Martin High School.We were co-workers and buddies!Charlie brightened our days and was simply the best!He was loved at Martin and will be missed by many.Prayers and hugs,Pam Matthews-Elliott

Knew Charlie from Army induction 1967. At Fort Polk before going to Vietnam. My wife carpooled with his to the base to visit me then.

So sorry to hear of your loss.   The stories of Charlie and my dad were a wonderful part of my childhood.  My families thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Sorry to hear this. Charlie and I served together in basic training in 1967 at Ft. Polk, LA. His wife and mine carpooled to visit us during those weeks in March and April of that year. We were seperated after basic as we began AIT. He will be remembered fondly. My condolences to his family. R.I P. Charlie.

Charlie or “little Charlie “ as he was known way back when he and I were more like brothers than cousins spending our first 4 or 5 years living together in Lindsay, OK while our Dad’s fought in WWII.  We lived with Grandma  and Grandpa Tuggle and I have many memories of those times and others as we would spend a few weeks together every summer for years afterwards.
Family and friends have suffered through our stories of fishing and hunting and our orneriness in those days.
I will miss Charlie and the times we had growing up.
