

Claire LaNelle “Rusty” White, 63 of Denton Texas went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2013. Those she leaves behind will forever miss her sparkling eyes yet heaven will forever be changed by her charismatic presence.
Rusty was born on May 17, 1950 in Longview Texas and it did not take long for her family to recognize her dynamic personality. From early on she had an avid love for country music, dancing, sports, the outdoors, puzzles, numbers, and books just to name a few. Nell deeply valued the bonds of family and considered her sisters, brothers, and late mother to be her best friends. As each of their families expanded, Rusty would enthusiastically add pictures around her home for visitors to admire, bragging every chance she had.
Throughout her life Rusty left her impact on all she came in contact with. She had an uncanny ability to make someone laugh and cry during a single conversation as she opened her heart. She undeniably had two prides in her life, her daughter Chastity Ann and her grandson Dustin Matthew. She would seize any opportunity she had with those around her to talk about them in some manner, be it Mary Kay, flying, Alabama or the Dallas Cowboys. Many of Rusty’s friends, neighbors, and doctors shared in her excitement of Dustin’s engagement to his fiancé Jamie as she often bragged on his many achievements. It was Rusty’s nature to treat each person in her life as though they were family.
Rusty held a strong passion for taking care of others which led to her receiving her Licensed Vocational Nursing Degree in 1983. She loved sports and was a baseball fanatic, especially when it came to the Texas Rangers. When someone wanted to know who was playing, what a players stats were, or the seasons standings all you needed to do was give Rusty a call. In addition was her love for all things outdoors. If “fish…” was mentioned, Rusty was halfway out the door with her pole and tackle box in hand before “….ing” could get out. She would seize any chance she had to experience the beauty of mountains, rivers, lakes, creeks, and the ocean.
Survived by Daughter Chastity Ann White of Houston Texas, Grandson Dustin Matthew White Morrison of Tomball Texas, Sister Sandy Mikeska of Houston Texas, Nephew Michael Mikeska Sister Caryl and James Grappe of Tomball Texas, Nephew Joe Craig Raney and Niece Caryn Raney Foster Brother, James W. White Jr. and Liz of Trinity Texas, Nephew Bill White, Niece Janet Etlinger, and Nephew Jeff White Sister Shirley and Billy Sheffield of Trinity Texas, Nephew Kevin Sheffield Brother Woody White and Betsy of Katy Texas, Niece Sarah White Sister Linda Menzies of Winona Texas, Niece Staci Grimes Brother Robert Martin of Houston, Texas As well as many other great nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Preceded in death by her mother Margie Abby Ford Martin and her father James W. White Sr.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013

The family has invited all to share memories of Rusty Nell and additionally would like to extend a time for a Pot Luck setting following the service. Please bring your favorite dish to share if desired. Boots and jeans are appropriate as the family plans to dance in tribute to Rusty.
