David Alan Baker
February 3, 1962 – November 23, 2019
David Alan Baker, age 57 of Ovilla, passed away on November 23, 2019. He was born on February 3, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Rocco Campise and Linda Snapp. David served in the U.S. Army before working for KBR where he was a recipient of the Defense of Freedom Medal. David spent several years raising his family in the Smokey Mountains and driving race cars since a teenager. David was a Harley fan, a football fan, and a billiards champion.
Davis is survived by his wife Donna North; his children Shawn Baker and wife Kristina and J.D. Baker; grandchildren Mariah Clark, Darrian Clark, Daniel Baker, Mario Baker, Sofia Baker, and Maverick Alexander McDonald; step-children Magnolia Jean Bond and Cheyenne Summer Bond and husband Captain Daniel McDonald; and the mother to his children, Jimmie Ellen Holt. David was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Miranda DeAnn Baker.
The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Saturday, November 30 from 2:00-4:00pm at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's honor to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, cancer unit.
