Grandma was a fiercely loyal and loving person. I have many memories of her that mostly revolve around communion with loved ones, particularly on her back porch where people would sit for hours under the steady breeze of the fan, laughing and talking and sharing in each other. Grandma knew that family is the central pillar of life, and I know she still feels the love of that family. Another distinct memory I have is of her and Pop dancing in their living room with each other, still so in love after many years of life together. I imagine her dancing again with him now. I will love and miss you always, Grandma!

I always loved to see Aunt Dixie smile. Her face seemed to literally light up. It was the brightest when she was being teased by her siblings, which was pretty much non-stop.

One of my favorite memory of my dear sister in law was her kindness to me and my family. I love her cooking! We were the same age when she and I met at the young age of 17. We came to visit she and my brother, in Denison, TX. It was when their son Paul was just an infant. I will always remember how my brother loved to tease her, until she would get mad at him. Another fond memory was visiting she snd her family that were so welcoming to us. I loved her and will miss her dearly. So many wonderful memories!

I will always remember the love and laughter that surrounded Dixie Rae. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed, but there is comfort in knowing she is with our Lord and her loved ones who went before her. God Bless!
