Edward Lee Ramsey

Edward Lee Ramsey, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, in Mansfield, TX. He was born on June 2, 1938 in St. Joe, AR to Tompy and Allegra Ramsey. He spent portions of his life in Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, and Oklahoma before settling in Texas in the late 1960s.

Ed was a member of the Grand Prairie Fire Department and retired in 1997 after 25 years of service. For most of those years, he also owned his own business selling honey and syrup.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; granddaughter, Nikole; sisters, Daisy and Willie; and brother, Verval.

Ed will be greatly missed by his wife, Wanda; children, Suzy, Tracy, Ed, Nathan, and Ginger; sister, Charlotte; a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family and friends.

A visitation for Edward will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A visitation will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 204 N Ector Dr, Euless, Texas 76039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 204 N Ector Dr, Euless, TX 76039. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Old Southland Cemetery, 1205 SW 3rd St, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
