She is survived by her husband, Alvin Waters; her daughter, Mack Waters; her sisters, Joan Marsland, June Chapman, Sheila Brunnenkant; her brother, Steven Burrows; and her nieces, nephews and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Burrows; father, James Burrows; and younger brother, David Burrows.
Known by all for her charitable and loving nature, Ann changed the lives of everyone she knew for the better. Her unwavering support for her friend’s and families’ hobbies and interests went unrivaled and it was always a safe bet that you could rely on her to have your back. “It isn’t about how much you can get, but what you can give”, was a common mantra she not only preached but lived by. Having an open, honest discussion was never out of the question and you could be sure she would give you feedback and her time (whether it was brutally honest or not).
Ann was an impeccable artist. She spent a lot of her time creating works through cross stitching, needle work and food. She often left little drawings in Mack’s lunch boxes during the early school days and was the sole inspiration to Mack’s artistic ability. She could turn any broken clothing into something new again and would make a home made meal that touched the soul. Her love for flowers and nature knew no bounds and it was common knowledge around the household that a bouquet was always appreciated.
Ann achieved so much in such little time when it came to gracing other’s with her kindness. Its no mystery that the universe gained back one of its best souls when she transcended this plane. And while we rejoice that she is free of these mortal shackles and can be happy in Heaven, we mourn for we have lost a piece of us that can never be replaced. Ultimately, Ann would want us to remember that the best ingredient to any formula in life is love. This was a lesson she taught us all and stood by without falter.
A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016.
