I last saw Emery about a year or so ago. During my 45 year career in DT Emery was always a wonderful inspiration and I would call the Father of CAD/CAM to me. I still have my first plaques of graduation from his courses. He was a great man and a wonderful friend that I wish would have spent more time together with him. Rest on my friend...... God is with you and we will all see each other soon.

I met Emery when he visited my church where my parents, Rev. James & JoAnn Hester, were pastors at Arlington Christian Center (A.C.C.) in 1974 until dad retired from the pulpit in 1993 and went into fulltime missionary work. I instantly fell in love with Emery's sweetness, kindness, gentleness and Godliness. It was a great privilege to know and love him! He introduced me to his kids, Rickey and Holley, and the three of us instantly hit it off! I love you for including me into the Burdine Family. Condolences and comfort to the family, especially Holley and Rickey.

Love, Holly G. Smith (Hester)

Emery was always ready to help me in the dental field. Even though we were competitors I could always ask him for advice and help and he never hesitated to give both . Rest In Peace , our condolences to the family from Satellite Dental Lab

I met Emery through First Rate Toastmasters. He was a terrific speaker and friendly; humorous and helpful. I am sad for his family, but know he loved Jesus Christ.

Emery was a father to me and he treated me like a son. Emery always said about both Donna & me that he “raised us from a pup!” He helped me connect the dots in understanding my Christian walk. He taught me sooooo much that made my dental career a success. God blessed both me & my family with Emery a part of our lives!

While on a deep-sea fishing trip when I was a young man with Burdie, Hollie and my mom and dad we had a boat malfunction that left us a drift in the Gulf of Mexico overnight, I still remember today how reassuring and comforting Burdie was that we were going to be OK, he made me feel safe. He was a kind and compassionate man that I will truly miss. It was my privilege to grow up knowing Rick and Holly’s dad.

I am proud to be the son of Emery Burdine.
Dad taught me so much about life.
He was a stern disciplinarian when I was a child which served to quickly teach me right from wrong.
He put me on the path of faith at an early age and led me to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I strayed from that path as a teenager, but Dad patiently helped me find my way.

He offered a job to me at his newly founded dental lab in 1975.
He was my employer for the following 25 years.
Dad always stressed the importance of giving a dedicated and whole hearted effort to every endeavor in work and life.
He would say, “ You can accomplish anything that you put your mind and effort into.”
Most importantly he stressed integrity, kindness, and treating others respectfully.

Dad loved his profession, but particularly he loved the people and associates that he met along the way.
He freely shared his knowledge and expertise of Dental technology with any of his colleagues including competitors.

Dad was also an ordained minister and loved to study the Bible. In turn He would share his knowledge through teachings and lessons from God’s Word.

Dad loved his family intensely, and just about everything he did through out his lifetime was driven to provide and care for his family and loved ones.

Thank you Dad for all the great memories that you’ve left with us.
Thank you for teaching us about the important things in life.

Thank you for the Love you shared and gave to all of us.

My friend Em is without a doubt, the finest man I have ever worked with who never had any occasion but to share love and friendship to all.
