

Emory Thomas Fletcher, Jr., “Fletch”, 76, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Arlington. Funeral 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 29 at Moore Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Rd., Arlington. Visitation is 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 28 at Moore Funeral Home. Burial will be in Adel, Georgia, Saturday, November 1, 2014. Memorials The Methodist Children’s Home, Macon, Georgia, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society or your charity of choice. Emory Thomas was born November 18, 1937, in Douglas, Georgia, the son of Emory Thomas Fletcher, Sr. and Verna Browning Fletcher. He grew up in Adel, Georgia and graduated from Cook High School in 1956. He attended Georgia Tech University and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. He married Mary Jo Bennett in 1960. They moved to Arlington in 1970. Emory was devoted to his family and career. He retired after 41 years as Executive Vice President and Treasurer with Martin Sprocket and Gear in Arlington, Texas. He loved to travel, read, play poker and relax at the Gulf Coast beaches. Survivors Daughter, Tracy Dodson and her husband, Ben. Son, Barry Thomas Fletcher and his wife, Charlene. Daughter, Amy Fletcher. Grandsons, Ben Dodson, Jr. and Warren Thomas Fletcher. Sister, Cheryl Fletcher of
McDonough, Georgia and her sons Chris and Owen Griswold, and a host of extended family and friends.
