George Stephen Escott passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Parkdale Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore and Sons Funeral Home Bowen Road. George was born Feb. 8, 1941, to Charles and Irene Escott (Robert) in Holyoke, Mass. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966. George loved to travel, especially taking cruises, visiting casinos and family. George purchased Clarence Cornish Wrecker Service where he served as owner until his retirement. George was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Baker. Survivors: Beloved wife of 28 years, Linda Escott; son, Billy Escott (Christy); stepsons, James Faires and Steve Faires (Alicia); grandchildren, Christopher Escott, Alyson and Jillian Faires; siblings, Mary Dandro of Massachusetts, Charles Escott Jr. of Texas and Susan Suttling of Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.
