Gwendolyn Bassett Cooper passed away September 19, 2013 in Arlington, Texas. She was born July 4, 1930 in Amarillo, Texas to Evelyn and Slade Bassett. Her mother, Evelyn Bassett and father, Slade Bassett preceded her in death.
Gwen is survived by sister, Patsy Underwood; brother, Kenneth Bassett; daughters, Cheryl Johnson and Pam Scott; son, Mike Cooper; five grandchildren, Chantal, Amberly, Allen, Deanna, Shannon and Nicholas; five great grandchildren, Bailey, Drew, Dixon, Dane and Shayee and several nieces and nephews.
Gwen enjoyed her many friends and nurses at Matlock Place Health and Rehabilitation Center. The family would like that donations be made to Matlock Place or New Century Hospice. Flowers can be accepted at Moore & Sons Funeral Home Bowen Road. Gwen will be greatly missed and she will be forever in our hearts and thoughts as we go through life. There will be a viewing Saturday, September 21 from 3 to 4 pm. Inurnment will be at DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
