Harold proudly served for four years in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. Following his service, Harold owned and operated his own trucking business for many years. From a young age, Harold loved the Lord and loved to sing and play the guitar. When growing up, he sang many solos in church. His favorite song to sing was “How Great Thou Art”. After retiring, Harold was very giving of his time and talents and sang at nursing homes, assisted living and Alzheimer’s centers performing a one-hour show four to six times each month. He also sang with Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue in 2004 and with the Chord Busters, a ukulele band organized by senior citizens who visit the Arlington Senior Recreation Center. He also played the banjo. He especially enjoyed singing and recording karaoke gospel hymns and oldies but goodies and recorded over 3,000 songs. Harold’s greatest pride and joy was the time spent with his family, all of whom will miss him dearly.
