

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home Bowen Road.
Helen was born in Waxahachie. She lived a great, busy life and was loved by many family and friends who were blessed to be an active part of her life. She raised two sons, two daughters and helped to raise two stepdaughters, all whom she loved and cherished.
Helen was a member of Trailwood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. When Helen lived in Fort Worth she was an active member of Trentman Avenue Baptist Church in Forest Hill. She accepted Jesus Christ as Savior when she was a teenager.
Helen and her husband, Leo Leachman, owned several businesses including Leo's Gas Station on the Mansfield Highway in Forest Hill, Lonestar Speedway in Prairie Hill, Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale and a trucking company. After moving to Hillsboro, she enjoyed life on her farm, tending to her gardens, flowers, cows, goats and other animals.
Helen moved to Grand Prairie in July 2001 and enjoyed many wonderful years surrounded by loving family. From May 1, 2010, to May 1, 2013, Helen was a resident at Lennwood Nursing Center where she made many new friends and sweetly touched the lives of all who got to know her.
Survivors: Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Phyllis Leachman Bacon and husband, Joe, and Michaela Herring; stepdaughters, Krisha Snapka and Marjorie Ann Lovett; grandchildren, Shaunna Kile, Laurie Campbell, Vincent Kile, James Campbell, Michael Montgomery, Stephanie Aday, Rebecca Montgomery, Joshua Jensen, Jeremy Herring, and Willie Leachman; stepgrandchildren, Trent Godby and Amanda Lovett; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Elijah, Josiah, Breaunna, Caitlyn, Gabriella, Madilyn, Krisalyn, Ellanora, Addisyn, Gwendolyn and Mykayla.
