

Jan was born on October 12, 1944, in Fort Worth to Clarence Maxwell Gilliam and Marie Wilhelmina Hartman. She was a proud graduate of Paschal High School, Class of 1963, in Fort Worth. Following her graduation, Jan worked for Turner-Young Mortgage Company of Fort Worth until 1997, and she served as a past president of the Fort Worth Mortgage Association. After her time at Turner-Young, she became the Chief Financial Officer at S & S Fleet Subrogation, where she remained until her retirement in 2008.
Ján loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed gardening, reading a good book, and was a devoted member of a weekly bridge group with dear friends Pat Bullock, Carol Cooper, Lynn Healy, Tracy Talambra, and Terri Unger.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Edward Sutter; her children, John Campbell (Melissa), Julie Deel (Shane), Andrew Sutter (Norine), and Michelle Sutter (Antonio Rivelle); her grandchildren Ariel, Emily, Drew, Zach, Ryan, Dylan, Garrett, Lillie, Nathaniel, and Brady; and her great-granddaughter, Arizona.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, at 12 p.m. at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home in Arlington. A memorial service will follow at the same location at 1 p.m. Flowers are welcome, but for those who wish, donations may be made to the March of Dimes. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Celia Huff for all her love and care through the years.
A visitation will be held at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, located at 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016, on February 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
