Jason Lapiska passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 38. Jason was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. He attended Martin High School, Navarro College, and Texas Tech University. He was employed at Martin Sprocket & Gear.
Jason had the biggest heart for everyone who knew him and touched the lives of so many people. He was always there for anyone who needed a friend, whether he was showing up when it mattered most or simply greeting them with a smile and a big bear hug. His humor was contagious. No matter how bad a day someone was having, Jason could make them laugh. He carried more than a few people through some of their darkest times.
A die-hard Texas Rangers fan and loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Jason poured his love of baseball into the next generation as a mentor and coach for North Arlington Little League. He was a larger-than-life presence at VFW Post 6111, where he was known to all as “Booski.” He supported and loved the veteran community, and they loved him in return.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Martha Lapiska; his brother, Brian Lapiska, and sister-in-law, Alyssa Lapiska; his nephews, Logan and Kennon Lapiska; his aunts and uncle, Sandy Dunagan, Carl Lapiska, and Lisa Lapiska; and his cousins, Kendra, Kenny, Hayden, Chris, and Shane.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington, TX 76016.
