I was remembering when we were all young back in the day. When you came to Corpus and we went to Padre Island. On the way back you stop to rinse your car at the car wash and all of a sudden we all get wet. Celia forgot to roll up her window and we know you wanted to get mad but you looked at Celia and started laughing. Those were the days when all of us Cousins were so closed and tight., but as life happens we grow up and move on in our journey in life start our own families and make new memories. I have so many of all of us I could go on and on. I even have the memories when you and Becky would come and stayed with Elias and I and we would have some fun it was crazy. Love you Johnny. Your cousins The Ortega's, Elias, Doris & Bob.

I work with his daughter, Veronica. She always spoke fondly of her father and got that little gleam of joy in her eye when doing so. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My sincerest condolences to my cousin Becky and her family on the passing of John Gutierrez. It is extremely hard when there is a death in the family and even though we only saw each other occasionally, we shared a bond as Vietnam Veterans and Purple Heart recipients serving our country. Rest in Peace great warrior, you served your country with Honor and Distinction, you will never be forgotten for your service and sacrifice. God Bless and comfort you Becky and our prayers are with you and your family.

Uncle Johnny was a great man! He was always one of the best parts of going to Arlington. My favorite memories of Uncle Johnny all are around Memo's dining room table. I loved sitting by him and watching him play poker with his brothers and sisters and the rest of our family. Uncle Johnny was one the toughest man I know and he fought until the end. He will be missed terribly. Love you tio.
