She was born in Biddeford, Maine, on June 9, 1919 and she was the eighth among 15 children born to Wallace R. and Minnie A. Carle Record. She graduated from Biddeford High School (class of '37), where she became a basketball star. She met the love of her life, Theodore "Ted" Michel, in Ogunquit, Maine, and they were married for many wonderful years. She was a very happy wife, mother and grandmother, and we were blessed to know her. God gave June the spirit of laughter, and she generously spread giggles everywhere she went. She left behind a legacy of laughter -- and a lot of belly laughs.
For My Loved Ones
I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles
When my life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
Whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
And remember the happy memories I leave
When my life is done,
I love you all and forever.
