Karl Allan Bowman

Karl Allan Bowman was the loving husband of Jennifer Cates Bowman, the caring father of his children, Austin Bowman and Hannah Bowman. He was the dear brother of Karen (Dwight) Spencer and Travis (Danna) Bowman, and the warm-hearted uncle to his nephew and many nieces. He leaves behind two uncles and an aunt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and June Bowman, and his beloved cousin Paul Bowman Jr.

Karl and Jenny were married nearly 38 years, their marriage defined by their love of writing music together for bands, The Gash and Spindizzies. Karl loved playing guitar and jamming with his friends and his son. He enjoyed writing and telling stories, spending quality time with his children, and traveling with his wife. In 2018, Karl and Jenny went to Uganda to visit Charles, an orphan they supported into adulthood for a trip of a lifetime. Karl’s second home was Jones Valley on the porch of Hillbilly, the family cabin in Arkansas. He loved going to family reunions, where he was proud to represent the Bowman family line. Karl dedicated 38 years to The Freeman Company, working conventions and building life-long friendships with his co-workers. He will be remembered fondly as a great friend to many.

A memorial service for Karl will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016.

There will be a reception following the service at Mama Cuca’s Restaurant at 2880 FM157 #110 Mansfield, Texas 76063 at 4:00pm.
