Rod was a wonderful person to have on our team. I had never heard him mad. He always was calm and happy. Rod was very knowledgeable and a true gentleman. He was the type of person you are just drawn to naturally. The world is at a loss without him. May you find comfort in your loving memories and much time spent with him. I know he love his family very much as he spoke of you anytime he had a chance. We at Northrop will surely miss him!

I had the privilege of working with Rod on a remote basis. He supported several offices in our region and was alway pleasant, responsive and helpful. We could always count on Rod. He will truly be missed.

We offer our deepest sympathy and are lifting the family and friends in prayers.

I had the opportunity to work with Rod for many years and knew Rod to be hard working, dependable, kind, caring and personable. The world has lost a good man and my heart breaks for all of Rod’s loved ones. Rod had his priorities straight and often talked of his family. I pray for God’s peace and comfort for each of you.

Just within the last week, I was just thinking how great it was to get to see Rodney at the last get together that I attended. Now I hear that he died. I have known Rodney most of my life from the 5th grade at Ruby Ray Swift Elementary. The old school that was on Border St.. We played football together for The Swift Eagles.
We all have lost a very good man. May our Lord be with his family during this sad loss.

May our Lord God bless Rodney Barthold, my dear old friend.

Rod was one of the first people that I met many years ago when I began my working for Northrop Grumman. He shared a big smile with me, and was so welcoming and inclusive, I knew right away that I liked him. How could I not?

It was apparent that Rod enjoyed a good conversation, as do I, so over the years we had many. I can visualize him now, standing in the break room, enjoying a cup of coffee while we held forth on the topic of the day. Rod was a great listener and really engaged, which I loved about him. He was knowledgeable about many things, but by far his favorite subject was his wife, children, and grandchildren. The love, concern, and pride he had for them was a wonderful thing to witness.

I retired several years ago, and we lost touch, but it was an honor to know Rod and have him as a friend. He was a real gentleman, a team player, a stand-up guy, and a true family man. My heartfelt condolences go out to Kat and the entire family.

Rod and I never actually met in person but I worked with him virtually on numerous occasions and he was always such a pleasure to work with, no matter how short notice or what I asked he was there to help with a cheerful attitude. Rod will be greatly missed as a friend and co-worker.

I have known Rod for the past 25+ years. I could not have worked with a better person and was blessed to have him as my friend.

Rod was one of these people. He will be missed. God Bless his family.
