On February 17, 2013 Lorraine A. Emans passed on to the joyous place prepared for her, by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a resident of Edmonds, Washington for more than 50 years, Lorraine enjoyed watching the sunset over the Olympics, visiting the beaches, parks, and strolling the neighborhood. She attended both Esperance Baptist Church and Edmonds Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a beloved and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Twice widowed, she is predeceased by the father of her children George E. Johnson, and her second husband of 36 years Marvin L. Emans. Her daughters, Sue Johnson, Sheryl Carroll and Darlene Armes and their families, survive her. Lorraine enjoyed her youth along the coasts of Oregon and Washington, graduating in 1944 from Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, WA. After her husband Marvin died in April 2012, Lorraine chose to spend her remaining days with her daughter Sheryl and family in Arlington, Texas where she received wonderful and loving care from her daughter and the hospice workers of VITAS. Arrangements are being made in honor of Lorraine, for a private gathering of family and friends.
