Sue grew up and went to school in Wichita Falls after which she married Jerry Wilkinson, together they raised a family in Devol, Oklahoma. She opened a daycare in Devol, years later she sold the daycare and life changed. She married again to Monroe South and moved to Brownwood, Texas where she opened another daycare, again after years later she sold it and they moved to Red Oak, TX. Sue and Monroe ran a storage facility for 12 years, then retired to Arlington, Texas to be closer to family and friends.
Sue enjoyed weekends at the lake, camping out with her boys, family and friends, even though she never did learn how to swim. She loved antiquing across Texas, going to Ranger games, spending time with friends, holidays with the family, but most of all seeing her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Sue was a Christian and loved God, she would attend the Baptist church closes to her home. Moving around made it hard to call one church home, but she would just say ‘It didn’t matter, they are all houses of God.’
Sue was preceded in death by her father Lynn Martin, her mother Onetta Martin Bridwell and her daddy, Garland ‘Tiny’ Bridwell.
Precious memories of Sue will forever be cherished by her husband Monroe South; her two sons, Gregg Wilkinson & wife, Nancy Wilkinson and Michael Wilkinson; the light of her days, her grandchildren, Kristie (Wilkinson) Duhon, Jacob Wilkinson, Kayla Wilkinson, and her great-grandchild, Bristol Razzi Duhon; her beloved siblings; sister Judy Emley & husband, Gary Emley, brothers E.W. Bridwell & wife Bea Bridwell, and Buddy Bridwell & wife Shirley Bridwell; her sister in life Patsy Rabe and a host of extended family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
