November 1, 1952 – July 31, 2026
Maria Nguyễn Thị Mai, 73, of Arlington, Texas, entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the powerful grace of love and faith—blessed with prayers from family, friends, and members of the community whose lives she had touched.
Born on November 1, 1952, in Hai Phong, Vietnam, to Phanxicô Xaviê Nguyễn Văn Điều and Maria Vũ Thị Khấn, her life was anchored by an unwavering Catholic faith and a deep, trusting devotion to God. In 1991, driven by an extraordinary spirit of love and sacrifice, Mai and her husband brought their young family from Vietnam to the United States. Facing the immense struggles of a new world, she poured her heart into building a bright future from the ground up. With incredible work ethic, a sharp business sense, and a tireless drive to make sure everyone in her presence was well taken care of, she forged a legacy that provided comfort, security, and opportunity for generations to come.
Today, her children stand successful, happy, and bound closely together—a direct testament to her lifelong love and guidance. She loved sitting together to share deep conversations, loved to joke just to lift others up and make them feel good about themselves, and brought light into every room with her unforgettable, infectious laughter. Her analytical mind, combined with a mother’s gentle heart, ensured that no detail was ever overlooked when it came to protecting and nurturing those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Phanxicô Xaviê Nguyễn Văn Điều and Maria Vũ Thị Khấn.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Lam Diep Khuon; her loving children, Lam Hai Nguyen, Lam Hai Van, Lam Hai Son, Lam Hai Duc, Lam Hai Loc, and Lam Hai Tho; her beloved grandchildren; as well as brothers, her sister and relatives who loved her deeply.
Xin Chúa thương đón nhận linh hồn Maria vào hưởng ánh sáng Thánh Nhan Chúa và niềm hạnh phúc vĩnh cửu trên Nước Trời. Amen.
