Maria Ann Persuitte

Before retiring, Maria worked for CNA Insurance Co as a claims adjuster. Maria started her insurance career in Concord, MA. She moved to Stephens Point, WI working for Sentry Insurance Co. She then transferred to Dallas, TX and CNA as a claims adjuster.

Maria loved to travel and explore the world around her. She especially loved Rome and Florence, Italy.

Maria received her Bachelor Degree in Art History from UT Arlington. She volunteered as a docent for the Museum of Art in Dallas. She loved her work there and meeting all the people who came to visit the museum.

Maria is survived by her three sisters: Regina (Brian) Mohan of Ashby, MA, Nancy Genzy of Lawrenceville, GA, Christine (Russell) of Arden, NC. Her two nieces: Jody (Bob) Whiteside of Ellettsville, IN, Cristy (Tony) McAdams of Suanee, GA, and nephew Matthew (Jennifer) Genzy of Lawrenceville, GA. Also, two great nieces: Rebecca Luzier of Ellettsville, IN and Abigayle McAdams of Suanee, GA and a great nephew, Nathaniel McAdams of Suanee, GA.

Maria was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Sabato Persuitte of Ayer, MA. Her loving partner Richard Baker of Arlington, TX and her brother-in-law Chester Genzy of Lawrenceville, GA.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to her very loving and dear friends Carol Foster and Mary Reichardt.

We also wish to extend our appreciation to the doctors and staff at Medical City Arlington Neurotrauma ICU for their wonderful care of Maria. Also, our appreciation to Silverado Hospice for the care given to Maria as well as their concerns for our welfare during this difficult time.

A visitation for Maria will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 12:30 PM, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A graveside service will occur Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Parkdale Cemetery, 701 S. Mary St., Arlington, TX 76010.
