My condolences to the Freeman Family. I had the great pleasure of working with Mark for 7 years as a police officer. Recently, I just found out about Mark's passing and I'm sincerely lost for words. We shared many experiences together and he had the best handwriting that I've ever seen. During my tenure, I've lost three wonderful friends that worked at Pantego (Tim Lindwall, Mark Sanborn and Mark Freeman), God bless you.

I used to work with Mark at Pantego PD. I just found out a couple days ago and am very saddened, as I had wished to one day come in contact with him again. He was a bright light that made going to work fun. He always made me laugh and made my midnight shift bearable. God bless Mark and look forward to seeing him someday in heaven.

Dear Freeman family,

The '70's youth group at Meadow Lane was forever changed by the Godly influence of Mr. Ken, Mrs. Micki, Mark, Mary Lynn & David. May God hold you close during this difficult time as you wait to be reunited for eternity.

With sympathy,

I am so sorry that I can't be there. Mark was a good friend to me when I was serving at Hillcrest Park in Arlington. I have not seen him since, we will have a lot to catch up on in heaven! You are in my prayers. Brian Gardner

To Mark's loving family. What a huge loss for all of your family. But what a great home going he must be having right now! I have heard that Mark's memorial sevice today was so uplifting. I would like to have been there myself. Mark was indeed very accomplished at the keyboard, and if memory serves me correctly, he taught himself to play. I can remember when he first started to play at Meadow Lane, and he just kept improving so much each time he played for us. Mark's passion for life has been an inspiration to many, and his love for those around him will surely be fondly remembered.

To Mr. Freeman, David and Mary Lynn who I remember so fondly, and to the rest of Mark's family that I never met - I am so very sorry for your loss. Mark fought the good fight - he was very special to so many of us that knew him in the Meadow Lane youth group.

It's funny the things you remember about someone. Mark was a really sweet guy. Peny and I rode with him to school at Sam Houston for a year. He would let us pick the music for the 10 minute drive to school, and I would always get him to play a Bread 8 track. I never hear “Baby I'm-a Want You” without thinking of that white car with black leather seats and his collection of 8 track tapes. Mark was sweet and funny, and always an active part of what was going on in the Meadow Lane youth group. We've got quite a group gathering on the other side ready to welcome us into Heaven, and we know for sure that Mark is part of that group … probably playing a keyboard of some kind ...probably not playing a Bread 8 Track ….

Love you Mark.
