Mary Ann Whitham Michael, age 82 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2019. She was born on July 25, 1937 in Tyler, Texas, the daughter of Harry Whitham and Bernice Williams Whitham. Mary Ann married David Michael and they celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage together.
Mary and her husband moved to Arlington 47 years ago and became deeply involved in their community. Mary was a graduate of the University of Texas and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Mary taught social studies and grammar for Arlington Schools for over 35 years, She was a member of First Baptist Church Arlington and was active in church functions, as well as donating time to Mission Arlington.
Mary is survived by her daughter Caroline Michael and husband Harvey Wallace; granddaughter Kristin Price; great grandchildren Jamila Makwangwala, Kamila Makwangwala, Keyona Price, Key/asia Price, Julius Price, and Makayla White; and her friend Michael Ashcraft. Mary was preceded in death by her husband David Michael and their son Matthew Michael.
