Mary Ethel Jordan

Mary Ethel Jordan, age 89 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2020. She was born on September 25, 1931 in Kaufman, Texas, the daughter of John Turner and Jessie Lutrell Turner. Mary married Robert "Bob" Jordan and he preceded her in death in 2016.

Mary will be remembered for her excellent seamstress skills, her wonderful cooking skills (especially her signature banana nut bread), and her love for driving Mustangs. In her spare time, she also raised birds in her aviary. Her love for animals also included her many cats, dogs, and the animals outside around her home. Her greatest time was the time she spent with her family, who will continue her tradition of family game nights.

Mary is survived by her daughters Margie Uzzell and husband Wiley, and Janice Elaine Jordan; grandchildren Shelli Prince and husband Terry Harmon, Robbie Prince and wife April, Turk Gibson, and Stacy Hartley; great grandchildren Ashlee, Whitney Shelby, Reygan, Brooke, Maxx, Brynlea, Bonnie, Blake, Cory, and Cara; great great grandchildren Braylin and Kazdyn; brother Tommy Turner, sister Rene Cook and husband Robert; and son in law Bill Prince. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, October 7 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, Arlington. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 8 at Kaufman Cemetery, Kaufman.
