

Mary Alice (Dray) Price, age 100 of Arlington, passed away on December 28, 2020. She was born on June 21, 1920 in Park City, Utah, the daughter of Allan Koonce Dray, Sr. and Alice Bennie Dray. Mary married Thomas Leslie Price on December 25, 1939 and they celebrated 74 years of marriage together.
Mary graduated from Vernon High School and attended Texas Women's University. She worked as an assistant librarian at UT Arlington and head of the research library. She retired after 25 years. She attended First United Methodist Church, Arlington and was active in the Aldersgate Sunday School Class. She was a founding member of the Arlington Women's Club, a member of DAR, PTA life membership at South Davis School, and Women's Society of Christian Service. Mary loved to travel with her husband to the UK, Jersey, Europe, Asia, and the south Pacific. She spent many years tracing her genealogy back to 709 AD, and enjoyed playing bridge and making tapestries for the church.
Mary is survived by her sons Lowell D Price of Carson City, NV; Dr. Allan E Price and wife Mary Jo of Temple; sister-in-law Thelma Dray of Calgary, Alberta; 4 grandchildren: Gary A. Price of Georgetown, Texas, Lauren Perego of Houston, Jennifer Stark of Nashville, TN, and Thomas Price of Austin; great grandchildren Allison Stark Walker, Meg Stark, Leslie Stark, Martin Price, Emma Price, Hadley Perego, Preston Perego, Avery Price; great great grandson Henry Walker; nephew Daniel A. Dray and niece Laurel Dray. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, brother Allan K. Dray, Jr., son Judge Mark T. Price, grandson Mark Price, and daughter-in-law Martha Haywood Price.
